Being able to work on myself in a safe environment has allowed me to work through those issues and now they see me differently. The training has been one of the best investments I have ever made.

Four years ago I was playing racket ball and injured my right knee. I had torn my meniscus and had to have surgery. During my rehabilitation process my physical therapist recommended I begin taking classes at the Martial Arts Center for Health.
I have been an Orange County correctional officer for 20 years. For 14 of those years I worked with juveniles. My stress levels from my job were so high and I didn't have an outlet. I have received so many benefits from training at the Center. I became more relaxed, calmer, and confident.
I can now see situations in a different light. It has made me comfortable with showing others a softer side of myself. People used to look at me and say that I looked so angry, and I was.
Being able to work on myself in a safe environment has allowed me to work through those issues and now they see me differently. The training has been one of the best investments I have ever made.
As a 52 year old woman and mother I wanted to show other women like myself that it doesn't matter how old you are you can benefit from training here at the Center.
I have now reached my long term goals and I am an Assistant Instructor which gives me the opportunity to pass on the gift that was given to me.
This training has given me confidence to express myself in front of groups of people. I used to always shy away from that. I am doing my best to be a good example to my child as well as other children I come in contact with at my job and at church.
